    Hello,
I'm looking for some parts for a Vintage Arovo Porsche 212 SkiBob. Can anyone help me out? Thanks! HANG ON FOR DEAR LIFE! THIS THINGS GOT NO BRAKES!

  1. Steve, I know someone with a Porsche skibob, I believe it is mostly intact, but the fibreglass body has cracked. Interested?

Hello. I am looking for an old style ski bike/ Velogemel. It is needed in Meribel, France in mid January 2017. Cab anyone advise where I might get hold of one?

  1. Emily Wilkinson, thanks for your enquiry, wooden Velogemels are still being made although I don't have any direct contacts at the "factory". Why not join the discussion on our Facebook Group, perhaps one of the Swiss skibike riders could provide one or even a suitable recommendation as to who to ask. See here Josh Jaramillo, both skibikes are still available, but shipping to the USA + import duties and taxes would not be cost effective. Join the discussion on our Facebook group and Matt Hanson should be able to sort you out some very good US specific deals. See https://www.facebook.com/groups/369612046423537/

Thank you for your reply Mark. We are in fact based in the UK not the US and are going to need it either in the UK or France, Europe. Should this change anything, I would love to hear from you. I will certainly join the discussion on the Facebook page. Many thanks

Hello, I ve just bought a used `Trikke 6` wheeled cambering scooter off Ebay for £18 that I would like to convert into a `Skki Trikke` like the ones they make in Poland, - Can anyone suggest a cost effective solution and easyish method to build using snow blades & bindings & skis and/or perhaps using those triangular shape metal pivoting brackets (as seen/sold on here, but the correct width - I want to use snow blades or carving ski`s that are x2 99 cm long & x1 80 cm long = 3 blades in total.

Would it be worth my while visiting a ski shop in the UK to get this sorted if I can supply some of the parts (not bracket = don`t know where to buy or get some one to make this)?.

  1. Keith, we are currently out of stock. But you can pick up 99cm skis off eBay in the UK relatively easily. Salomon SnowBlades are a popular choice, but are made from a lightweight composite core that can be tricky to mount. Head BigEasy skis have a wood core and are a better option, but cost roughly twice as much secondhand, at around £100 a pair.

There is no-one I know of making a conversion kit for trikes per se, but anything is possible with some good engineering skills and free time.

I recommend you join the Facebook Group for this website and also the European Skibike Association in order to network with others who have travelled the same path already.

Hello does anyone know if there is anywhere to rent a skibike in avoriaz

  1. Unknown - Your easiest option would be to hire a SnowScoot, I'm not 100% certain about Avoriaz but there are plenty of hire outfits in the area, Chatel is somewhat of a SnowScoot hotspot and not too far away.

If you are looking for a freestyle skibike then you will most likely have to drive to Grand Bornand/La Clusaz to see Stephaine LeMaitre, he has a couple of Firem skibikes for hire and whilst not an instructor will probably come out and ride with you if you ask nicely.
